All My Hope

Scripture: John 3:16–21

This morning, as I write, I have been getting ready to sing the special music at church, my heart is full of expectation. I will be singing All My Hope by Crowder, and I can already feel how closely the song connects to today’s scripture in our 21-day challenge: John 3:16–21. It’s funny how God is always weaving all the little pieces of our day together and making them related so that the story just flows.

The words of this song will not just be music, they will be a reminder of the deepest truth I need to carry into today. Even though I am not perfect, even though I fail, even though I sometimes feel unworthy, God loves me. He loves me so much that He gave His Son for me. John 3:16 says it clearly: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” That includes me. That includes you.

When I sing “All my hope is in Jesus,” I will sing it as a declaration from my heart. My hope will not be in my past, my accomplishments, my mistakes, or even my ability to get it right this morning. My hope will be in Him, the One who is stronger than my fears, bigger than my failures, and closer than my doubts.

And when I sing “Thank God my yesterday’s gone,” I will remember that God has erased my past. Every regret, every mistake, every time I wished I could start over, He has already redeemed it. I will step into this song with freedom, knowing that the darkness of yesterday cannot overshadow the light of His love today.

Singing “All my sins are forgiven” and “I’ve been washed in the blood”  reminds me of the personal, life-changing power of Jesus’ sacrifice. His forgiveness is not distant or abstract, it is for me, right where I am, just as I am. Even when I feel weak, even when I feel small, even when I feel unworthy, His love reaches me. His blood covers me. His grace transforms me.

This morning, as I lift my voice, I will not only be singing words, I will be declaring truth over my life: I am loved beyond measure. I am forgiven. I am free. My hope rests completely in Jesus, and that hope will never fail.

Ladies, I want us to remember this today: no matter what we’ve done, no matter what we feel we lack, no matter how heavy life feels, we are loved. His love is personal, unending, and stronger than anything we face. And because of that, we can live in hope, light, and the promise of God's faithfulness.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for loving me even though I am not worthy. Thank You for giving Your life for me, for forgiving all my sins, and for giving me hope that cannot fail. As I sing today, help me to sing from my heart, to trust in Your love, and to live boldly in the promise and hope You give. Amen.
