Romans 8:18–28
There are days when life feels heavy in ways that are hard to explain. As women, we often carry more than we let on: expectations, responsibilities, relationships, unanswered prayers, and silent disappointments. We show up for others while quietly wondering who is holding us. In those moments, Romans 8:18–28 speaks gently and powerfully to our hearts: God is working all things together for good, even the hard parts.
Some of the hardest struggles aren’t visible. It may be the ache of waiting, for healing, for direction, for a promise to come true. It may be the grief of a season that didn’t turn out the way you hoped, the exhaustion of always being strong, or the fear that you’re falling behind in life. God sees every tear, every late-night prayer, every moment you’ve questioned if your faith was enough.
Paul reminds us that our present sufferings are real, but they are not the end of the story. The pain you feel today does not compare to the glory God is preparing within you. Even when your heart feels overwhelmed, the Holy Spirit is interceding for you, praying on your behalf when words fail you. You are never praying alone.
Verse 28 is a promise you can hold onto tightly: “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” Not just the joyful moments, but the broken relationships, the detours, the losses, the seasons of uncertainty. God doesn’t waste your pain. He weaves it into something meaningful, something redemptive, something that will one day make sense, even if it doesn’t right now.
If you’re walking through a hard season, know this: God is close. He is working behind the scenes, shaping your heart, strengthening your faith, and preparing you for what’s next. You may not see the good yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t coming.
So today, take a deep breath. Release the pressure to have it all together. Trust that the God who called you is faithful, and He is using every part of your story for good.
Prayer:
Lord, You see my heart and the weight I carry. Help me to trust You in the middle of my struggles. Remind me that You are near, that You are working, and that nothing I’m going through is wasted. I place my life and my future in Your hands. Amen.
Reflection:
What burden have you been carrying alone that God is inviting you to place in His hands today?
